London, Jan.21 (ANI): Brazilian football great Pele has said that World Player of the Year Lionel Messi still has a long way to go before being compared to him.
The 24-year-old Argentine has won the Fifa award for the past three years and has been compared frequently to Pele.
But according to The Mirror, the Santos legend feels the Barcelona playmaker needs to do more, particularly at international level, to be considered the greatest player of all time.
Pele said: "When Messi's scored 1,283 goals like me, when he's won three World Cups, we'll talk about it.Football changes. Records are there to be broken, but it will be hard to break mine," he added. (ANI)
