Dictatorship will not come back in Pakistan: Gilani

Islamabad, Fri, 20 Jan 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Jan 20 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said dictatorship will never come back in Pakistan.

He insisted that dictators could not end corruption despite holding powers for years, The News reports.

"The opposition is doing it's own work and the government would run as per the mandate accorded to them by the people," Gilani said.

Insisting that every institution must work within the ambit of the Constitution, Gilani said: "We have to strengthen the state organs by restoring the Constitution and my appearance before the court reflects that we respect judiciary."

The joint session of Parliament would decide about the resumption of NATO supplies, while the gas crisis would be resolved within six months, he added. (ANI)
