London, Jan 19 (ANI): A 37-year-old man has been charged with the murders of an Indian-origin couple in Birmingham.
Lithuanian national Rimvydas Liorancas will appear before magistrates today over the murder of Avtar Kolar, 62, and his wife Carole, 58, whose bodies were discovered last week by their son Jason Kolar, a serving officer with West Midlands Police.
Liorancas was the third person to be arrested on suspicion of the double murder.
A 41-year-old man questioned at the weekend was released without charge and a 24-year-old man is on police bail, Mirror.co.uk reports.
Post-mortem tests have confirmed that the couple, who had been married for 40 years, died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and that both had been struck several times.
The arrests came after two of the couple's four children made a desperate plea for help to catch their parents' killers. (ANI)
