London, Jan 17(ANI): Atlantic 4, a team of four young rowers set a new world record for the youngest four-man crew to row across the Atlantic ocean.
Greg Symondson, 22, from Buckinghamshire; Adam Wolley, 23, of Suffolk; and Ross and Hugo Turner, 23, from Exeter, took part in the Woodvale Transatlantic Rowing Race and achieved this feat when they reached Barbados.
They came third in the race and touched the finishing line at 11:34 GMT on 16 January after covering 2623nm. Out of the 17 teams, which started the race, six had to drop out during the challenge.
Their combined age is 91 which makes them the youngest four-man crew to ever row across the Atlantic but Ross and Hugo Turner are also the first twins to row across any ocean in the world, The BBC reports.
"Today is probably the proudest, most emotional and memorable day of my life," said Jem Symondson, Greg's father. (ANI)
