Itanagar, Jan 16 (ANI): The next incarnation to provide solace to the suffering humanity would surface from the divine land of Arunachal Pradesh, according to Puri's Govardhan Pith Peetthadhish Jagat Guru Shankaracharya Adhokshajanandji Devtirth.
The Shankaracharya, on a two-day sojourn to this Himalayan state after a 'Sai Snan' at Parsurrama Kund Saturday, arrived here late Sunday night after offering obeisance to Lord Shideswarnath in the Kardo Hills at Ziro.
In an exclusive interview to the Arunachal Front, the Shankaracharya said that the 'Parsurama Kund' associated with Sage 'Parsurama' is the living embodiment of 'Sanatana Dharma' and the priceless asset of this state.
The visit of lakhs of pilgrims this year is the beginning and the number would continue to rise every year, as this pilgrimage is the prime source of divinity, said the divine soul, who has been visiting the state for the last 15 years.
While a Parsuram Express was started from Kolkata to ferry pilgrims by former Lohit DC PS Lokhande, a survey of 122 km Rupai-Parshuram Kund broad gauge railway line was complete at the initiative of Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, while preliminary engineering-traffic survey for the Parsuram Kund-Tezu-Pasighat by NF Railways is in progress at the request of GoAP, according to DC RK Sharma.
Responding to a question on the relevance of this 'Deva Bhumi' where Shiva idols have been found in many places, including Aalo, Daporijo, Naharlagun and Itanagar, he said that Lord Ram ruled on the earth during the Treta Yug (12.96 lakh yearsago) and Lord Krishna during Dwapara Yug (8.64 lakh years ago) as their incarnations were time-bound before they left this mortal world.
But Sage Parsurama, who has been serving the people in all ages, is in deep penance in some cave now and would end his meditation when the opportune time comes and surface and save the humanity at the end of present Kali Yug (4.32 lakh years) before the resumption of Satya Yug (17.28 lakh years) to complete the cycle, according to Manu Sanghita.
The discovery of the tallest Shiv Linga at Ziro (as mentioned in 17th chapter of 1893 edition of Shivapuran that the tallest Shiva Linga will appear at a place to be called Lingalaya and later the whole place will be known as Arunachal) is another indicator of the certainty of emergence of the Kalki avatar from this land, he said with conviction.
Tree cutter Prem Subba had discovered the 25 feet tall and 22 feet wide Linga in July 2004, believed to be the largest in the world.
The purity of the area and its natural environment should not be disturbed as Lord Shiva with a natural garland around the neck has appeared with complete family to bless his devotes, he opined.

Expressing his regret for his inability to devote more time to the people who desired to have his sermons at Ziro, the Shankaracharya assured devotees here of his visit soon. He had consecrated the Linglaya temple in April 1998 and conducted a maha yagna there for the greater welfare of the humanity in May 2002. During one of his visits to the temple before the yagna, after an hour-long meditation on the huge rock at the temple there he had spontaneously said that a divine soul would alone realize the divinity of this place.
The Shankaracharya, who was accompanied with his close associates and principal adviser to CM, Avinash Kumar, left for New Delhi Monday morning.
Land Management Parliamentary Secretary Padi Richo, who had made all arrangements for his Ziro visit, told that the Shanakaracharya has assured to visit again. Moreover, all possible steps are being taken to publicize Lord Shidheswarnath as an important pilgrimage.
"Concrete road has already been built up to the temple for easy communication and a permanent shed has been proposed there for the convenience of the pilgrims. A conducted tour would be organized for the devotees during the Shivarati in February next," he added.
It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Nabam Tuki had sought financial assistance for the development of historical and religious sites, including Parshuram Kund and Sidheswarnath temple during his recent meeting with Union Culture Minister Kumari Selja. By Pradeep Kumar (ANI)
