New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): India and China resumed their 15th round of boundary talks here today to decide on a framework for delineating the border on the map.
The Indian side is being-led by National Security Adviser Shivshanker Menon while the Chinese team is headed by state councilor Dai Bingguo.
In addition to the border talks, the two sides will also hold discussions on a wide range of issues pertaining to bilateral, regional and global concerns.
Till now, the efforts of both the nations in this direction failed to yield the desire result due to recent spike in geopolitical tensions as well as muscle flexing along the border.
The India-China border talks had been postponed in November last year after China raised objections to Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, participating in a global Buddhist conclave in New Delhi.
The Asian neighbours still claim vast swathes of each other's territory along their 3,500 kilometres Himalayan border, which has remained largely peaceful since a border war in 1962. (ANI)
