Islamabad, Dec 11(ANI): Six US tanks were destroyed by IED blasts in Karez-e-Safid and Tangyano areas of Afghanistan, and three NATO tankers were destroyed in Herat, according to reports.
Reports from Nawzad district said that six American tanks were destroyed by IED blasts in Karez-e-Safid and Tangyano areas since yesterday, and that the wreckage of the tanks is still lying at the blast scenes, The Nation reported.
On December 9 afternoon, three NATO tankers were destroyed on the road between Khalil Durahi and Khalawak areas of Rabat-e-Sangi district, the paper said.
According to the Taliban website, two more tankers in a NATO logistical convoy were destroyed in the district's Yaka Dukan area at about the same time following the detonation of two roadside bombs. (ANI)
