Bhopal, Nov 1 (ANI): A Bhopal court will pronounce its judgement in the fake passport case involving gangster Abu Salem on November 16.
Abu Salem's advocate Jitendra Soni said the court would give its judgement on November 16 in the fake passport case.
"Today we submitted the answer to the prosecution and the court has given November 16 as the next date. The court will give its judgement on this issue on November 16," said Soni.
"We have worked really hard on this case, now the rest is up to the court," he added.
Public Prosecutor Rakesh Panchal, however, said that he is hopeful of winning the case.
"In our arguments we stated that Abu is guilty and the accused should be punished for his deeds. And we have full hopes that we will win the case," said Panchal.
Earlier today, Salem was brought amidst tight security here for hearing into the case.
Salem along with his companions had allegedly acquired passport from Bhopal on the basis of fake documents following which cases were registered against them.
Salem is a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts and is facing trail for eight other cases, including murder.
He has been in the south Mumbai jail since he was extradited from Portugal in 2005. (ANI)
