Srinagar, Oct 27 (ANI): Curfew was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir's four districts on Wednesday to foil a march called by moderate faction of Hurrriyat Conference to the office of the United Nations Military Observers' Group for India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) here demanding withdrawal of troops from Kashmir Valley.
It has been reported that besides the four districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora, the concerned authorities have also imposed curfew in Awantipora town of Pulwama District.
The restrictions were imposed in view of the march called by the hardline faction headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Scores of security personnel have been deployed across the city and other sensitive areas to thwart any untoward incident. (ANI)
