Aurangabad, Oct 15 (ANI): Maharashtra's Aurangabad district is now in the limelight for the affluence of its residents evident from the fact that they franchised 150 Mercedes Benz cars in one day.
A group of young entrepreneurs comprising builders, industrialists, doctors, and other professionals had booked these cars on a single day. These cars would be delivered to them together.
"They wanted to put Aurangabad in the big league and there is no better way than to buy a Mercedes-Benz in their individual capacity," said Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.
The proud owners of these luxury cars-their prices ranging between Rs 30 to 70 lakh-said the objective behind acting in unison was to give the place a different recognition in the world.
The Indian arm of Mercedes-Benz expects to post double-digit sales growth this year from a year ago as it launched new models in Asia's fourth-largest auto market.
Mercedes-Benz sold 3,220 cars in India last year. (ANI)
