Mumbai, Oct.10 (ANI): Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar promoted his upcoming Bollywood flick 'Action Replayy' in Mumbai.
Kumar played his favourite songs from the 1970s at the retro-music-and-dance night event, as a part of the promotional campaign.
"This was the action replay, it takes you towards 1970s. It takes you toward back music. Like today you have the songs, it was action replay, but it was replay of the music," said Kumar.
'Action Replayy' is a science fiction romantic-comedy film.
Produced and directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the movie stars Aishwarya Rai, Neha Dhupia, Randhir Kapoor, Om Puri, Kirron Kher and Rajpal Yadav, besides Akshay Kumar.
It has been scripted by Suresh Nair, Aatish Kapadia and Bahawal and Pritam Chakraborty has composed the music of the film.
"The word 'Action Replayy' comes from cricket, that if you want to live your life again then what all things you would do or would not do, so in this there is no action. This is an interesting concept and a romantic comedy," said Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
"There is a different and interesting kind of a humour in the movie, in which we have seen the style of Akshay Kumar in the recent times. In this movie Akshay has created a new style for performing in a certain manner and I think that should be interesting for people," he added.
The film is slated for release on November 5. By Shaikh Sharik(ANI)
