Pune/Aurangabad, Sep 8 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that the political system is the single biggest determinant of everyone's future.

Interacting with college students at Chinchwad near Pune, Gandhi said: "The reason why I am asking you to join politics is because it alone can bridge the gap between rural and urban India. It is undoubtedly the biggest instrument for connecting the two Indias."

He said an entry into politics could be made through the student nd youth wings of the Congress

He highlighted that reforms are a must in the education system, infrastructure and politics.

Asked why he chose to join politics, he said that while the family lineage was a decisive factor, he felt that politics was the biggest instrument of change.

Urging students to join politics, Gandhi said that youth must come forward and take the plunge into politics.

'Good people must join politics, they can help bring about many positive changes and also help remove corruption,' he added.

In new Aurangabad's CIDCO Auditorium Rahul made a similar impassioned plea to the students, urging them to join politics for the national cause and to practice democracy in a real sence.

"The proportion of youths in politics should increase in the nterest of the country's progress," he said

"To usher in political reforms, the participation of youths is a necessity. If you have interest in politics then there is no need of role models," he added.

Replied to a question, Gandhi said: "You can yourself be the role models. You should make efforts to bring in unity between the rural and urban population." (ANI)
