Osmanabad (Maharashtra), June 22 (ANI): A local court here on Tuesday granted bail to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray in a 2008 rioting case.
Thackeray, who was facing charges of involvement in rioting in 2008, surrendered before the Judicial Magistrate (First Class) in Kalamb taluka of the Osmanabad District.
The court granted bail to Thackeray on a Rs 15,000 bond.
This is the tenth case of rioting in which Thackeray has been granted bail, said his lawyer Sayaji Nangre.
On October 21, 2008, Thackeray was arrested in Ratnagiri in connection with an agitation launched by his party against north Indians on the ground that migrants had deprived the locals from getting employment in the state. (ANI)
