Chintalnar (Chhattisgarh), Apr 17 (ANI): Suspected Maoists activists fired near the area where former Border Security Force Director General E N Rammohan was visiting to collect information about the Dantewada massacre.
Reportedly, the incident took place three kilometres away from place, where Naxals ambushed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.
"Some exchange of fire took place about three km from the Dantewada massacre site. It is just a small exchange of fire. People who fired at the team were Naxalites," said Dantewada Superintendent of Police Amrish Mishra.
"No one has been rounded up but it is difficult to ascertain the number of Naxalites. It's a small matter and no one has been injured in the firing," he added.
Naxals reportedly fired six to seven rounds.
Police said no one was injured in the incident.
The Union Home Ministry has nominated a committee headed by Rammohan to probe incidents that led to the Dantewada incident in which Maoists killed 76 CRPF men.
