Jamshedpur, Aug 30 (ANI): In a major Maoists attack at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand at least 12 security personnel including a sub-inspector of police were killed today.
According to police sources, the security forces were returning to Ghatshila police station after a long range patrolling when the Maoists exploded landmine near Burudih dam.
The explosion was so powerful that the vehicle carrying the security personnel and police officer was completely destroyed killing all the persons including driver.
The Inspector General headquarters S.N. Pradhan said that the entire area has been sealed and massive operations have been launched to nab the extremists.
The Director General of police B. D. Ram and Regional Inspector General of police have left for the blast site. (ANI)
