Nov 06: Wrinkles are the evidences of time and elegance which are as natural as our existence. But wrinkles make us awry and we start doing experiments to remain young forever. In the process we hurt our self and unaware of the consequences latter in life.

In a recent study led by French Surgeon Dr Daniel Marchac reached to this conclusion that anti-wrinkle treatment might cause permanent damage to one’s facial tissue after consulting 25 patients undergone such treatment.

Such treatment might be an instant way to keep the wrinkles out but in long run it causes irreversible damage to the subcutaneous tissue which is the fatty layer underneath the skin.

Dr Marchac asked 900 surgeons for more evidence on ‘filler’ jabs like Botox, and now carbon dioxide.

Based on his research Dr Marchac believes that one in 20 people will be left with permanent damage by taking such injections.

The filler jabs are of two types one is permanent and the other to be absorbed into the skin and repeated after an interval of 6 month.

He said that all of the permanent fillers are creating bumps and deformities and in some cases, it has to be operated.

“All serious plastic surgeons agree one should avoid permanent fillers. We will see in the future patients of 50 who have had 15 years of fillers; with fibrous, tough tissue we won't be able to do anything with,” he added

The Chairman of Plastic Surgery at Manhattan Ear, Eye and Throat Hospital New York, Dr Sherrell Aston said, “I am really concerned that in 15 years we will see a lot of people with lumps and bumps and no good way to treat it”.

Douglas McGeorge,President of British Association of Aesthetic Plastic said with aword of caution that the public needs to be realistic about outcomes it can expect from new cosmetic treatments, at least until solid clinical evidence of their efficacy exists.

He said that beauty industry is full of aestheticians with limited or no training which might go wrong.

Earlier, the association has warned women undergoing such treatment under unskilled cosmetic practitioner.

This study will open the myth of people and will help those who want to erase those fine lines to think twice before they go for anti wrinkle treatment.
