Tirupati, Aug 26 (ANI): Film star Chiranjeevi unveiled his political party named 'Prajarajyam' here today.
While addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters Chiranjeevi said, "The new party will have social justice as its main agenda."
Chiranjeevi said he was overwhelmed by the response of the people towards his decision of joining politics.
"I firmly believe in youth power and I am hungry to serve the people of my state," he said.
He also thanked his supporters for gathering in large numbers at the party launch and said that he knows the pulse of the public.
Lakhs of Chiranjeevi fans poured in from all over Andhra Pradesh to listen to their star revealing the name and agenda of his party.
The crowd went berserk during the event and police had to resort to baton charge to control the crowd.
An eight-feet high huge dais had been constructed for the occasion, which comprised of big pictures of Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, B. R. Ambedkar, Jyotirao Phule and a digital screen at the centre.
Unlike many political meetings digital screens at strategic places, first aid clinics, fire engines, water packets and other amenities were arranged for the public.
Over 2,500 security personnel including bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed at the venue to maintain order. (ANI)

Hi Hi Nayaka, May I introduce you as a middleclass person. By profession advocate and 53 years old. When people said that u r entering politics I felt very happy. After seeing mammooth gathering at Tirupathi I felt u can do it what everybody aspiring. But later my expectations started decending. However, after seeing your Siricilla visit I am impressed. Yes here is a nayaka came to change everybody's lives. further a suggession. In this techno world kindly ask your compurter personnel to feed all voters list of all constitutencies. Then the same can be divided into madals,villages,wards and party people can have individual contact with each voter. of course i do not belong to any party and I wish you will reach to the expectations of people who suffered from past 60 years.
