Oct 27 : Jab We Met has released at a time Jab they are Split …but with a freshness of cool splash without a sign of jeer and tears both Shahid and Kareena has done justice to the character they have enacted.
The film has a chirpy Kareena as Geet and chivalrous Shahid as Aditya, as title of the movie the film begins with accidental meeting on a journey in train .Geet is on her way to her hometown Bhatinda while Aditya , a young man disappointed with his life, a life that had messed both in love and business.
With a filmy style Geet ends up missing her train while trying to get Aditya on train who was about to end his life.
Geet insisted him to take her to Bhatinda, as she has missed the train because of him and the journey of the movie takes off from here, perhaps the longest journey, a journey inward discovering the strange world of togetherness with a stranger.
But this queer journey is added with a jerk when Aditya learns that Geet loves one Anshuman, and her family is against their unison.
Poor Aditya very much aware of his feeling towards Geet holds himself back and promised to help her unite Anshuman.
But then, no Bollywood is without flaw, similarly in this movie the post interval part is too much stretched out that it’s difficult to connect the first part with the second.
Life takes a positive turn and Aditya begins to do well and with another journey with Kareena, as he flows into the colors and conceptions of a loud and happy family.
A romantic comedy with family values is worth watching directed by Imtiaz Ali produced by Dhillin Mehta under Shree Astavinayak Cinevision ltd. The film’s score and soundtrack is composed by Pritam with mesmerising and beautiful lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.
This is for those who want to relax after the day to day trivialities of life. The onscreen chemistry of both Shahid and Kareena will be imprinted on the mind of people, as the film might be the last film of the most celebrated couple of Bollywood, who have ended their journey abruptly.
The on life chemistry is different from onscreen chemistry but the film will give strength to Shahid for his memorable performance and Kareena with her loud yet impressive feat.
