Rae Bareli, Aug 11 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi today held 'chaupals' in three villages of Rae Bareli and heard the complaints of the people.
Soon after her arrival, she first proceeded to Beriaya Ka Tola at Rampur Sudakan village in Bachrawa Assembly segment where she had a one-to-one interaction with mostly Dalit women.
She heard complaints related to the non-availablity of ration cards, fake records of the NREGA, irregularities in Indira Awas and scarcity of handpumps.
Gandhi was also informed that freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose also visited the village during the freedom movement.
Later, she also held 'chaupal' at Satti village.
During her three-day visit, she is scheduled to inaugurate the Rajiv Gandhi Hostel at the Feroz Gandhi Engineering Institute.
Besides meeting party workers, she will also tour different parts of her constituency. (ANI)
