Kadampadi (TN), July 23 (ANI): Tamil Nadu police busted a factory making illicit liquor in Kadampadi village on Wednesday.
The police seized spurious liquor worth 25 lakh rupees and arrested four persons running the racket here.
Hundreds of liquor bottles, duplicate labels, essence for manufacturing illicit liquor and a machine used for sealing bottles were confiscated from the factory.
"So far four accused have been arrested and the process of the investigation is on. We may have to arrest a few more people. This is like a spurious liquor factory.
They are bringing rectified spirit from Mangalore and doing the mixing part and bottling part here, "said Pramod Kumar, inspector general of police, west zone, Tamil Nadu.
The bottles will be sent to check whether the content was potable. (ANI)
