Like every year Surajkund Crafts Mela is being organized in 2012 by Haryana Tourism Department starting from 1^st feb 2012. Surajkund Crafts Mela is being organized from 1981, every year from 1- 15 Feb., which provides the Indian artists and craftsmen across the country with a strong platform to display their skills in crafts and art. This years Surajkund Crafts Mela will be 26th Mela of the series.

Surajkund Crafts Mela 2012 theme

Every year, tradition is followed by Haryana Tourism Department in organizing Surajkund Crafts Mela by selecting a particular Indian state as a theme. The ambience for the Mela is decided and designed according to the culture of that state. Last year in 2011, the theme state for the Mela was Andhra Pradesh. In 2012, theme state for Surajkund Crafts Mela is Assam.

Like every year Surajkund Crafts Mela 2012 is going to be held at Surajkund, the site of popular Surajkund Crafts Mela located at a distance of 8 km from South Delhi in Faridabad. You can enjoy the rural ambience of India there, which will make you forget the hectice life of the city.

Surajkund Crafts Mela 2012 hosted by the Surajkund Mela authority every year brings a ambience of Colorful Festival with a great sense of festivity. The mela will be open for visitors from 9.30 every morning to 7.00 p.m. every evening from 1-15 February.

Entry charges:

A ticket of Rs. 50/- has been made compulsory for the visitors while the ticket rate for differently abled person and Senior Citizens is Rs 25/-.

• Several competitions and special games are also organized to entertain the crowd and keep the event interesting. This can be a major attraction for the youngsters who are going to visit the fair. Amusement Zone with playful rides and swings is also available for the kids.
