The Isles of Wonder or the London Olympics 2012 opening ceremony will begin in few minutes when Big Ben world famous clock tower will ring at 21:00 BST.

80,000 audiences in the stadium and a billion people as global TV audience are expected to watch Opening Ceremony of Summer Olympics 2012.

£27 million have been thrown for the ceremony to make it once in a lifetime experience.

Summer Olympics 2012 are taking place in Olympic stadium that will have 80,000 spectators, 16,000 athletes, 10,000 performers, 70 sheep, 12 horses, ten chickens, 3 cows, 2 goats and dogs and geese.

What will happen in Opening ceremony of Olympic 2012:

• On the final day, torchbearers will carry the Olympic flame along the River Thames on Royal Rowbarge Gloriana and then it will be used to light the cauldron that will shine throughout the events for 16 continuous days.
• Volunteers will showcase a program that will depict British farmers tilling the soil,British families on picnics, and people of Britain playing sports and games on a village green. This event has been entitled Green and Pleasant and will create a picture of England.
• Beatles' Paul McCartney will perform along with Bruce Springsteen at a pre-ceremony event.
• 3 hours ceremony will be the beginning of an hour of culture that will shift to the athlete's parade. The parade will feature new recordings by electronic duo Underworld.
• After the parade there will be lighting of the cauldron.
• At the end of opening ceremony there will be a fireworks display.
• People who would not be physically present during the opening ceremony, there will be 2 short films from the BBC drama department, one of which will feature Daniel Craig as secret agent James Bond to help enhance the ceremony.
