About Diabetes

Though in the common discussion diabetes is referred as the disease concerning the higher density of glucose or sugar level in the blood, diabetes is a disease concerning more with the production of insulin hormone in our body. The basic property of the insulin hormone is to regulate the glucose level in the blood and thereby maintaining the balance of sugar or glucose substance in our blood. If our pancreatic glands stops producing insulin we become vulnerable to the higher blood glucose level and the disease is called diabetes.

Though there can be a lot of clinical or medical reasons of diabetes but the researches in the recent years strongly suggested the possible connection between diabetes and contributing factors in our life styles like food habit, less physical activity and less exertion, psychic factors like depression and stress, insomnia and lack of sleep, etc. Diabetes is more likely to happen to those people who are suffering from other life style oriented diseases like obesity, hypertension, etc. and it can cause a lot of other crucial diseases like kidney stone, heart disorder, etc.

The conclusive and permanent cure of diabetes is still unknown to modern medical science in the allopathic tradition. Ultimately the diabetic patient is commonly referred to the treatment through regular intake of artificial insulin to maintain the glucose level in the blood. Though modern medicine does not have any satisfactory answer for the cure of diabetes, several other treatment procedures like ayurveda, herbal treatment, natural nutritional treatment, physical exercises and treatment like yoga and meditation and organic life style habits proved highly beneficial for curbing the disease.
