Chief Minister of Delhi disappoints BJP delegation on the issue of water : Jolly says Sheila Dikshit is arrogant
19th June: New Delhi. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit disappointed the BJP delegation which had gone to request her for supplying sufficient water to the people of Delhi. The members of the delegation under the leadership of BJP Spokesperson Shri Vijay Jolly had gone to meet the Chief Minister and included Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha ex-President and Councilor Sangam Vihar Smt. Sarita Chaudhary, Pradesh General Secretary Shri Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma, BJP leader Shri Srilal Pradhan and RK Puram Councilor & Pradesh Vice President Shri Radhey Shyam Sharma. They alleged that the Chief Minister is not serious about finding a solution to the problem of water. She expressed her helplessness in finding a magical solution to water shortage in Delhi. She also adversely commented on the role and conduct of Haryana Govt. This did not satisfy the Delhi BJP leaders stated Delhi BJP Spokesman Mr. Vijay Jolly. Sheila Dikshit is arrogant and DJB under her Chairmanship has failed to find solution to Delhi water woes.
After meeting the Chief Minister, Shri Jolly and other BJP leaders expressed surprise that the people of largest unauthorized colony of Delhi Sangam Vihar, Tigri, Devli village, Nebsarai and lakhs of people living in South Delhi residential colonies are facing hardships over drinking water in scorching heat wave in the capital. The summer action plan of DJB has failed. Delhi and Haryana's Congress Governments are playing political drama on the issue of water. This is deplorable stated Mr. Jolly.
Before submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister, the BJP workers assembled at Raj Ghat and marched towards Delhi Secretariat raising slogans against Sheila Dikshit and Delhi Jal Board. There agitated demonstrators with empty clay pitchers and plastic buckets staged a vociferous demonstration. They expressed their deep anguish, anger & dismay by breaking earthen pitchers in front of the Delhi Secretariat & in full view & presence of police. Former District President of South Delhi BJP Ch. Azad Singh, District Vice President Shri Kamlesh Yadav, Satpal Singhal, Girish Kataria, Poorvanchal Cell District President Mahesh Mishra, Mandal President Sanjay Kashyap, General Secretary Prabhat Jha, Devli Mandal President Ram Nivas Tomar, former President of Madangir Mandal, Om Prakash Chautala were also present in this demonstration.
