Gladiolus is a genus of perennial bulbous flowering plants belonging to the family Iridaceae. The genus consists of 260 species native to South Africa and Eurasia. The flowers are available in different colours that vary from pink to reddish or light purple with white, contrasting markings, or white to cream or orange to red.
