Lathyrus odoratus or Sweet pea is a native to the eastern Mediterranean region and belongs to the plant family Fabaceae. The genus comprises of more than 100 species and the flowers are available in different colours including lavender, pink, purple, red, white, yellow. They are commonly grown as ornamental plant for their bright colours and the sweet fragrance that signifies their name.
