Kolkata is the beginning and the end of the Indian subcontinent because the Britishers first used this place as the means to occupy their end. From this city they started their fight of colonization and annexed the whole subcontinent. The city is the microcosms of cultures, rituals, and customs found in the north- eastern and eastern part of India. Still after the 60 years of Indian independence the locality bears many stamps of English culture and monument. This is the first city to be politically viable in India but later it lost its political importance in the country. Kolkata is the political, economic, financial, literary and academic hub of eastern and northeast India. It is the prime-visiting scar for the tourists in this part of country. The city is 2nd in terms of population and the cheapest metro in India. As far as the social and economic life is concerned, living is best suitable to all.
