Mumbai Indians triumphed a small total sat by Deccan Chargers

Once again Deccan's batsmen failed to put runs on board and gave a small total of 100 runs to chase for a strong Mumbai Indians batting line-up. MI achieved it in 18.1 overs with 5 wickets in hand.

This game was all about the bowlers, first the MI bowlers tormented the Deccan line up then lone fight of Dale Steyn was seen against the MI batsmen. Batting first Deccan kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. Malinga took 4 wickets, while Harbhajan and Franklin took 2 wickets each and halted Delhi at a mere score of 100.

While chasing Mumbai too lost their openers quickly but Rohit Sharma again took the task on his shoulder and made 42 runs and helped Mumbai reach near the target. Dale Steyn was the only bowler from the Chargers side who bowled superbly, he took 2 wickets in his 4 overs over giving away just 10 runs. He received man of the match for his outstanding performance.

It was the 40th match of IPL in which Mumbai Indians marked a 5 wickets victory over Deccan Chargers.
