New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): A day after the UPA Government scored a victory in the Parlaiment, leaders of the Left parties, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) are meeting at BSP supremo Mayawati's residence here to decide their future strategy.

The meeting was attended by Prakash Karat (CPI-M), A B Bardhan and D Raja (CPI), H D Deve Gowda (JD-S), G Devrajan (Forward Bloc), Abani Ray (RSP), Ajit Singh (RLD), N Chandrababu Naidu (TDP), K Chandrashekhar Rao (TRS), Ajay Chauthala (INLD) and Babulal Marandi (Jharkhand Vikas Morcha).

Assuring that the TRS will work together with the BSP in future, TRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao said, "We will work together".

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and son of Deve Gowda, H D Kumaraswamy, said that JD (S) would "strengthen" Mayawati by "collaborating" with her.

"We would like to strengthen the Third Front in Karnataka", he added.

The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) on Tuesday won the trust vote by a margin of 19 votes after a two-day debate. The ruling coalition secured 275 votes as against 256 by the Opposition. As many as 10 members were absent or abstained from voting.

Mayawati blamed the BJP for the UPA's victory. "It is not a victory of the UPA, but the result of the politics played by the UPA and the NDA," she said. (ANI)
