Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana cancels family's Christmas holiday

London, Sat, 29 Nov 2008 ANI

London, Nov 29 (ANI): Brit chef Gordon Ramsay has had his Christmas fun cut down by his wife Tana, after she decided that the family would not be going on the 50,000 pounds holiday that they had decided upon.

Ramsay, 42, was looking forward to the holiday and had made bookings at the Le Touessrok resort in Mauritius, which is a favourite haunt of celebrities and the mega-rich.

But as reports alleging that he had a seven-year affair with Sarah Symonds surfaced, his wife cancelled the trip at the last moment.

"Gordon had his heart set on taking Tana and the children away for Christmas to help get over the hurt the claims have caused," the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

"But Tana had a sudden change of heart and cancelled it as she's concerned there would be too much fuss.

"It's a shame as they've been through so much in the past week but the whole circus around them has been very intense."The whole family had been looking forward to the trip but Tana decided against it in the end. It's a shame as Gordon was really looking forward to it, but he understands," the source added.

The resort has a 24-hour butler service, 18-hole golf course, spa and private beach with exclusive dining restaurants. (ANI)
