Islamabad, Jan 12(ANI): Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly left for Dubai on a scheduled one-day trip today.
Officials said Zardari would return to Pakistan on Friday morning and ruled out that that the trip was connected to the ongoing tensions between the army and the government.
"This trip will be for a follow-up medical check up and then he'll be returning right away," an associate of Zardari said.
"It's in Zardari's schedule to be coming to Dubai today for a one-day trip, but it's still unclear if he will come for sure," The Dawn quoted a Gulf-based Pakistani source, as saying.
Sources had earlier said that Zardari might visit Dubai for his further medical check- up, after seeking a two-week medical treatment in the country last month.(ANI)
