Obamas' plan to write their memoirs after White House exit

Washington, Wed, 11 Jan 2012 ANI

Washington, Jan.11 (ANI): A new book on President Barack Obama and U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama reveals that part of the post-presidency plan for both Obamas is to write memoirs to boost their legacies and their bank accounts.

According to The Politico, President Obama's challenge will be to balance the reflective tone of his first two memoirs, "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope," with former presidents' propensity to paint largely positive portraits of their administrations.

Michelle Obama on the other hand gives few interviews in part because she's anxious to save her thoughts for her own book, New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor, author of the book "The Obamas," writes. (ANI)
