London, Jan 7 (ANI): The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to have a 'low-key, private' birthday with her family, as she turns 30 on January 9.
She will spend the day with husband Prince William and her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, brother James and sister Pippa.
There had been reports that Prince Harry - along with the Duchess' famous party planner sister - was planning a big bash for his sister-in-law, but official statements from the palace suggest otherwise.
"Whatever is planned will be low-key and private," the Daily Mail quoted a St James spokesperson as saying.
A day before her birthday, the Duke and Duchess will attend the UK premiere of 'War Horse' in London's Leicester Square, where the world's media will be waiting.
William, an RAF search and rescue helicopter co-pilot, is rostered to work next week from his base at RAF Valley in Anglesey.
Turning 30 will cap a life-changing year for the new royal, who married her fiance on April 29, 2011 in a glittering Westminster Abbey ceremony in front of a television audience of billions.
After honeymooning in the Seychelles, the newlyweds toured Canada and California last summer, where they received a rapturous welcome.
The Duchess has also agreed to support two organizations as patron - Action on Addiction and the National Portrait Gallery. She will also be royal patron for East Anglia's Children's Hospices and The Art Room. (ANI)
