Islamabad, Dec 27(ANI): Pakistan Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar has said the country's government would demand payment from NATO after restoring its supplies.
The Pakistan Government had earlier sealed its border with Afghanistan in response to the deadly November 26 airstrike that had killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
He said the NATO supply lines would not be restored free of charge because they damage Pakistan's roads and infrastructure.
Mukhtar also said Pakistan desires to strengthen ties with the United States.
"If the US is our ally, then they must keep our interests in mind," The News quoted Mukhtar, as saying.
He added that Pakistan would continue its war on terror if required even if the US gave it up. (ANI)
