Lahore, Dec 21(ANI): Pakistan's Unification Bloc member Sheikh Alauddin has slammed actress Veena Malik for posing nude on the cover of an Indian magazine.
Alauddin said Malik had humiliated the Pakistan security establishment by posing with an ISI tattoo on her arm.
"Veena is maligning our security institutions and she's doing this in the name of friendship with India," The Express Tribune quoted him, as saying.
PPP member Pervez Rafique, however defended Malik saying she is "the daughter of the country" and added that "she is doing everything in our country's interest."
He also objected to the Most Favourite Nation (MFN) status granted to India.
"During the last two months Pakistan has faced a Rs1.25 billion loss because of India. I can prove it," Alauddin said.
Rafique also condemned Alauddin's statement on Indo-Pak ties
"This is the first time the House is hearing that Pakistan-India friendship is not in the interest of the country," he said.
Some PPP members had earlier walked out from the House to protest farmers' exploitation by sugar mill owners and a fertiliser shortage. (ANI)
