"Independent" Imran Khan vows to eliminate "family politics" in Pakistan

Islamabad , Sat, 17 Dec 2011 ANI

Islamabad, Dec 17 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that he would eliminate "family politics" in Pakistan.

"I am an independent man and should finish family politics from Pakistan," the Daily Times quoted Khan, as saying.

Imran declared that he would not support any system other than democracy, which had suffered a lot under four marshal laws.

He declared that the PTI's Karachi rally, planned for December 25, would be an eye opener for the masses in Pakistan.

Referring to the memo issue, he said that the Supreme Court was probing the issue, and he hoped that the verdict would be based strictly on merit, with facts exposed. (ANI)
