London, Dec 15 (ANI): The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are all set to visit South Pacific during a world tour by the Royal Family to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The Royal couple will travel to the tiny atoll nation of Tuvalu next year on tour that would include Singapore, Malaysia, and the Solomon Islands.
Prince William and Kate's visit to the South Pacific state - nine islands with 10,472 people on 10 square miles midway between Hawaii and Australia - has revived memories of the last major royal visit to the remote nation in 1982.
Then the Queen and Prince Philip were brought ashore in canoes and carried at shoulder height in the vessels by islanders into the capital Funafuti during a spectacular ceremony.
The Queen will remain in the UK for her milestone celebrations.
However, senior royals will visit each of her 15 overseas realms where she is head of state - as well as major Commonwealth nations and other destinations with close links to the UK, including Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories, the Daily Express reported.
Prince Harry will make his first solo trip on behalf of the Queen, who is 85, travelling to Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas on a Caribbean tour. Prince Charles and Camilla will travel to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
The visits will mark the monarch's 60 years on the throne in 2012, Buckingham Palace announced on Wednesday. (ANI)
