Washington, Dec 10(ANI): A new poll has shown that over five in ten voters disapprove of US President Barack Obama and majority of respondents - 94 percent have a negative view of the country's economy.
The Fox News poll showed that 51 percent of respondents disapproved of Obama, as compared to 44 percent, who held the contrary view.
Forty two percent of respondents had approved of Obama, and 48 percent had a negative view of him in November.
Eight two percent of Democrats, however, supported him and only 11 percent were against him.
The poll found that 94 percent of voters said US economy is in a bad shape, 28 percent said it is in "only fair" condition and 66 percent said its condition is "poor."
According to the poll, 48 percent respondents felt that Obama's agenda will help the economy in the long run while 47 percent said they would have an adverse effect on the economy.
Fifty three percent of respondents said the economy would be in a better condition in 2012, 36 percent said it would be in a worse shape.
The poll found that 35 percent respondents approved and 62 percent disapproved of Obama's policy on tackling the economy.
Forty two percent of voters approved and 55 percent disapproved of Obama on health care, while 47 percent approved and 45 percent disapproved on Afghan War.
The Fox News poll, which interviewed 911 randomly chosen Amercian registered voters was conducted between December 5 and 7. (ANI)
