Washington, Dec 6 (ANI): Barack Obama's eldest daughter is shooting up and recent photos show that now her height is almost equal to that of her six-feet tall parents.
The president himself joked about Malia's height during a speech in July 2010.
"Even though she's five-nine, she's still my baby," ABC news quoted him as saying.
Experts say depending on genetics and the timing of puberty it's not unusual for some young girls to be noticeably tall.
Genetic factors play a major role in determining height, and since the Obamas are both fairly tall, it's no surprise that their daughter is, too. (ANI)
