Islamabad, Nov 27 (ANI): The recent attack on Pakistani troops has angered most civil and military leaders, with some saying 'enough is enough,' to describe their disappointment over air raids in the country.
"I think the feeling is clearly 'enough is enough. It doesn't matter if the Shamsi base is an active staging post for drone attacks or not. Pakistan's protest must be recorded as much as possible," the CBS News quoted a senior Pakistani government official, as saying.
A Pakistani cabinet minister also warned that the attack, which killed up to 28 Pakistani soldiers earlier on Saturday, "had in fact violated a very firm red line drawn by Pakistan. The decision by the Pakistani government is that we must all take a stand, because the killing of our soldiers in cold blood is just not acceptable."
A defence cabinet committee headed by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has decided to ask the United States to vacate the Shamsi airbase within 15 days to protest against the NATO attack.
Yesterday, the political administration of the Khyber Agency halted supplies to NATO forces in Afghanistan after being ordered by the Pakistan Government to do so following the aerial attack near the Pak-Afghan border.
