UK varsity's climategate scientists colluded with politicians to suppress global warming reports

London , Sat, 26 Nov 2011 ANI

London, Nov 26(ANI): Over 5,000 documents have been leaked online that shows the University of East Anglia's climategate scientists tried to suppress evidence and prepared reports based on flawed technique.

The emails, which were released in the form of quotes on a Russian server - Sinwt.ru, indicated that both scientists and Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' (Dafra) staff manipulated data, and colluded with politicians to misuse scientific information.

This is the second time that information has been out in public domain after ' hacked private emails that referred to ways to 'hide the decline' in global warming were leaked ahead of Copenhagen climate talks.

The episode may likely disrupt the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change session in South Africa. text file, which protests against the costly anti-global warming technologies, accompanied by over 200,000 encrypted emails, without a password, is also among the leaked documents.

One message appeared to show a Defra member staff telling colleagues to give the government a 'strong message'.

"Humphrey', I cannot overstate the huge amount of political interest in the project as a message that the government can give on climate change to help them tell their story.

They want their story to be a very strong one and don't want to be made to look foolish," the message saidThe closed-mindedness of these supposed men of science, their willingness to go to any lengths to defend a preconceived message, is surprising even to me. The stink of intellectual corruption is overpowering," a commentator for the Atlanticlive Crook, said.

The leaked documents, however, seems to date from the first release in 2009 and its not yet clear whether they indicate any conspiracy. (ANI)
