Karachi, Nov 20(ANI): A suspected militant who blew himself up following a security forces' raid in Karachi was carrying a US and a Pakistani passport.
According to a Pakistan Rangers' statement, the dead man, who has been identified as Moeed Abdul Salam, had travelled to many countries, as evident from his passport.
Salam detonated an explosive device when police raided his apartment in Gulistan-e-Johar, the Dawn reports.
Post-mortem tests carried out on Salam's body confirmed that he died due to grenade explosion, and that "documents used for acts of terrorism were also recovered" from his possession.
The US Embassy could not immediately confirm the development.he Rangers' statement added that Salam had divorced his wife a month ago and was survived by four children.
Several Al Qaeda and Taliban operatives have been captured or killed in Karachi in recent years. (ANI)
