London, Oct 30 (ANI): More than 200,000 people turned up at Perth's Swan River to see the Queen and witness traditional Aussie style barbeque organised in her honour.
On the occasion, Prince Philip, 90, even flipped a steak as he made a record-breaking attempt to hold the world's biggest grill.
The event, which marked the end of Queen's 11-day Australian tour, saw organisers laying out 130,000 sausages, 8,000 loaves of bread, 60,000 litres of sauce and 150,000 drinks.
The Queen was overwhelmed with the kind of affection crowd showed towards the Royal couple.
"We have been overwhelmed by your kindness and support," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
"Once again we will return to the United Kingdom with fond memories of our time here and the warm Australian welcome we have received on our 16th visit to this beautiful country," she added. (ANI)
