London, Oct 29 (ANI): Police are investigating the origins of a data stick, which contains material from a documentary that alleges Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf attended sex parties hosted by a Serbian gangster at his underground club in Stockholm almost 40 years ago.
According to Sweden's Expressen newspaper, the data stick, filled with material stolen from the hard drive of Nuri Kino, an investigative journalist, was mailed on Monday to Anders Lettstrom, a childhood friend of the king, with a message saying it came from "some friends", reports the Telegraph.
Mr Lettstrom handed the material to Swedish Police on Wednesday.
The King has never fully denied all of the allegations.
"I have spoken with my family and the Queen and we choose to turn the page and move forward because, as I understand, these are things that happened a long time ago," he said in a press conference after the storm broke.
Since the book's publication, Markovic had made thinly veiled threats to release pictures or film in his possession that would further compromise the King.
"I've got live evidence," he told one Swedish newspaper in May. "The entire world will see. This is no fake but real facts. I can prove every single thing." (ANI)
