Peshawar, Oct 25(ANI): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said that Talibanisation in Afghanistan is an organised movement whereas every armed group has established its own empire in Pakistan.
Addressing a news conference at his party's provincial office, Fazl said that the armed struggle of Taliban in Afghanistan was for freedom and that the JUI-F backed it.
Earlier, he said that when the Taliban government was established in Afghanistan, the JUI-F's central Shura had recognised it and declared it the continuation of the Afghan Jihad.
He maintained that the situation in Afghanistan was quite different from that in Pakistan, therefore armed struggle inside Pakistan was not permissible according to the Ulema.
All Taliban groups that want to bring about a positive change in Pakistan should join the peaceful movement of Ulema under the circle of law and Constitution of the state, he added.
"All the armed Taliban groups in Pakistan should follow the unanimous decree of religious scholars to end armed struggle and join Ulema's peaceful struggle within the limits of the Constitution and law," The Nation quoted Fazl, as saying.
The JUI-F chief also said that the alien war on terror had darkened the future of Pakistan, and stressed on the need to follow the jointly passed resolution of Parliament in its true spirit.
Fazl maintained that due to the non-implementation of the parliamentary resolution, the law and order situation from Swat to Waziristan Agency was troubled. (ANI)
