Steve Jobs admired Facebook's Zuckerberg for 'dominating social networking space'

Washington, Tue, 25 Oct 2011 ANI

Washington, Oct 26 (ANI): Steve Jobs expressed his admiration for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for not selling out and dominating the social networking space, his biographer has revealed.

Jobs' biographer Walter Isaacson reportedly said the late Apple Inc chief spoke about the young technology entrepreneur with respect, The Telegraph reports.

"We talk about social networks in the plural, but I don't see anybody other than Facebook out there. Just Facebook, They are dominating this. I admire Mark Zuckerberg . . . for not selling out, for wanting to make a company. I admire that a lot," Jobs had said.

owever, he had contrasting views about Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Google.

In the official biography, which is out today in the US, Jobs accuses Gates of being "unimaginative", saying: "Bill is basically unimaginative and has never invented anything, which is why I think, he's more comfortable now in philanthropy than technology."

He had also vowed to destroy Android, Google's rival mobile phone operation.

"I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple's 40 billion dollars in the bank, to right this wrong. I'm going to destroy Android, because it's a stolen product. I'm willing to go thermonuclear war on this," he had told Isaacson. (ANI)
