Beijing, Oct 22 (ANI): About 85.2 percent of Chinese women are satisfied with their status in the family, a survey by State Council Information Office of China has found.
Song Xiuyan, vice-president of the All-China Women's Federation, released the figure during a briefing for the third survey on Chinese women's social status at a press conference, the China Daily reports.
However, the survey found that about 24.7 percent of women complained of having undergone domestic abuse.
The survey, based on the responses of 105,573 women aged 18 and above throughout the country, also showed that only 37.9 percent of women own property including co-ownership with their husbands.
But when it comes to housework, 72.7 percent of married respondents believe women do more than their husbands. (ANI)
