London, Oct 22 (ANI): Queen Elizabeth was left straining her neck recently when she was dwarfed by a towering 7 feet tall basketball player at an exclusive reception in Australia.
The 85-year-old monarch faced great difficulty when she had to gaze up at Elizabeth Cambage, who was representing the sporting world at a reception in Canberra hosted by Julia Gillard, the prime minister of Australia, in honour of the visiting Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.
The 20-year-old Melbourne-based basketball player described Her Majesty as a "tiny, tiny delicate thing".
"Julia Gillard brought her over to me and she looked up at me and said, 'You must be a basketball player'," the Daily Mail quoted Cambage as saying.
"I said, 'How can you tell?' and the Queen replied, 'You must find it very easy.' We had a little chuckle and she moved on," she added. (ANI)
