Washington, Oct 18 (ANI): Hollywood actress Octavia Spencer has revealed that she ran down the streets half-naked after Barack Obama was elected as the US President in 2008.
"I made a bet with ["The Help" director Tate Taylor] that if Obama was elected, I would run down the street naked. So I had to do it - and all the neighbours came out and saw. It was hilarious," the Politico quoted 'The Help' actress as telling Scotland's Sunday Mail.
"OK, I was not completely naked but I was in my underwear, which was almost the same thing."
"I just didn't think the country was ready for it but I'm proud of the fact that we crossed that hurdle. It changed the game for what young men and women of colour can dream of now. That in itself is something I cherish," she added.
The 39-year-old actress also said that she met the US President and first lady at a special screening of "The Help" at the White House, but she chose not to tell the story of her "election undie run" to the US head. (ANI)
