Rangoon, Oct 16 (ANI): Sean Penn, actor, activist and outspoken liberal, has said that the tea party is a "problem" and a "distraction" for President Barack Obama.
Referring to the party's racist motives, Penn said that "the 'N' word should be kept 'out of the White House party,' Politico reports.
"If you ask a representative of the tea party, OK, Social Security, socialist, get rid of it? They're going to get very confused. The end of the day, there's a big bubble coming out of their head saying, you know, can we just lynch him?" he said.
Penn said he will "very likely" vote for the president's re-election, explaining that "Barack Obama is as capable of being a great president as anybody that we've got walking."
"I would love to see Barack Obama be Bulworth. I'd love to see what I've always wanted to see, somebody run as a one term president and show me that people aren't stupid. They do care about each other. And when he does the right things and takes on the controversies, he's going to win the next election," he added. (ANI)
